With backgrounds spanning translation, business consulting, and international experience, we combine professional expertise with empathy. Our services are designed for those who value discretion, quality, and a smoother experience in Japan.

Dany moved to Japan at the age of two and was raised trilingual by her immigrant parents. After earning her degree in English in Nagoya, she began her career at the Nagoya Immigration Bureau, where she assisted with visa procedures and guided newcomers through the challenges of settling in Japan. Over the years, she has supported countless individuals and families with their relocation journeys, offering expertise in Japanese, English, and Portuguese.

Rafa grew up in Brazil and later moved to the United States at the age of eighteen to pursue his studies. He graduated in International Relations in St. Louis in 2017 and relocated to Japan the following year, after seven years of international experience. His background in global travel and cross-cultural living gave him deep insights into what expatriates need to feel at home in a new country.

Together, Dany and Rafa founded Zen Japan Assistance with a vision: to make relocating to and traveling through Japan an effortless, reassuring, and memorable experience. Based in the Greater Nagoya area, they serve clients from around the world in English, Portuguese, and Japanese — combining their personal journeys and professional expertise to provide bespoke support for individuals, families, and companies alike.
